what's the meaning of إلَى اللِّقاء and is it used in informal speaking and in any arabic country

it means see you later it is used in Fusha ( classical arabic)
but in informal speak we would say سلام salam (peace)

Hicham is right.. literally it means "hasta luego" but it can be used as "good bye" and it is not used in informal speaking in any Arabic country...it is "عربية فصحى""Classical Arabic"
in informal way we just say "salam""سلام" in all the Arabic countries which means "peace"

it means goodby or see u later basically it is formal arabic but u can use it in informal arabic in any conuntry if u say it pp will understand u clearly.i think in most countries we say by or ma3 eslamaمع السلامة or asslamo alykom like this. الي is aproposition and اللقاء means seeing or meeting someone again.
