what's the different "wait a second"and "wait a minute"?

You gonna be mad at me ;) it depends on who tells it. My experience: if woman tells ill be in a minute means 60minutes. ;) there is a joke.

"a minute" may mean wait a little longer but they are generally used interchangably.

What's the DIFFERENCE BETWEEN "wait a second" and "wait a minute"?
The difference is "59 seconds" ...... (60-1=59)
OK - sorry sorry ... I couldn't resist the temptation.
wait a second = wait less than a minute / the wait can be counted in seconds
wait a minute = wait a minute or two / the wait can be counted in minutes, but not too many minutes.

When u say "wait a second" u mean to wait a second. When u say "wait a minute" u mean to wait sixty seconds.
