is 日本鬼子 (Nihon Kishi) offensive for the Japanese? Chinese people use the words 日本鬼子 [Rìběn guǐzi] - "the japanese devils" or "小日本" [Xiǎo Rìběn] as an ethnic slur against the Japanese. So, is it really offensive for the Japanese people or they don't take it seriously?

i watched movie "日本鬼子" many years ago.it was made by japanese.and it is a documentary film. i know why you chinese calls us japanese 日本鬼子.there is no way to call us so. during the 2nd war jananese soldiers treated chinese cruelly.then one chinese woman shout "日本鬼子" some japanese soldiers said i heard it. i don't think most japanese knows it. but i would like to say,we japanese and chinse shlould make next relationship. i don't say that is the matter in the past.but we have to make.
