The word 'omoi', what does it mean?
I have heard the word 'omoi' everywhere. In songs, animes, etc., but what does it mean? Some people say it means chain, or heavy. . Though I'm not sure if that's true.

Possibility would be..
1.Omoi おもい(思いor想い)
This means feelings, or emotions. The difference between 思うand 想う is..The first is to think of something rationally, have an idea of something. The later is to have a feelings or imagining/ remembering about something.
ex) 簡単だと思います。Kantan dato omoimasu (I think it's easy)
あなたを想っています。Anata wo omotte imasu (I think of you / I adore you)
2.Maybe you are talking about "omoroi" おもろい? which comes from the adjective "omosiroi" おもしろい, means interesting or funny. It's a dialect from west Japan.
ex) このまんがおもろい。Kono manga omoroi (This is comic book is funny)
おもろい人ですね。 Omoroi hito desune (You are/ he, she is a funny person)
Hope this helped!
