Cowboy is correct. Here are some other examples.
expunge= to remove something completely, especially from a written record .
Example: The policeman said that he would expunge the incorrect speeding fine from the driver's records.
expurgate= to remove from a book or text
Example: Some sections of the novel Lady Chatterly's Lover were expurgated from DH Lawrence's manuscript.
If you write something that your editors don't like it may be expurgated from the transcript.
