I didn't get enough sleep and I'm really tired.
But I don't want to go to bed, I want to wake up.
So I'm about to get out of the house but sadly, the elevator is under maintenance.
Since I live on the 26th of the apartment building, walking down the stairs is kind of a challenge.
1) I can't help but wait for the elevator to work again.
2) I have no choice but to wait for the elevator to work again.
If you have something that you want to correct, just please correct them.
I have one more question.
Which is more natural between 1) and 2)?
Thank you so much.

Also, on your second sentence instead of saying you want to "wake up" you could have said "I want to stay up" because you wake up after you have fallen asleep and in your case you were already up.

The second sentence sounds more natural.
