What does it mean "I tried for my feet and made it okay" in "I tried for my feet and made it okay when I came to after I had lost consciousness"?
Thanks in advance!!

It's vaguely worded, so we can only guess. My first guess would be that it means "tried to find my feet" which is a way of saying "tried to stand up". My second guess would be "tried to feel my feet" (to see if they were numb or could move etc).

I assume that it means that they tried to stand up/get up and managed to do so. It's not something I've heard personally (in British English). I would say 'I tried to get to my feet,' for instance, in such a situation. But I might have got the wrong end of the stick. Maybe someone else can enlighten us.
