Hi!

I’m looking for a teacher for a 30-minute lesson once a week to practise speaking topics from the Roadmap B2+ textbook.

At the moment, I’m taking a course with a Ukrainian teacher in a group, but I feel that I need more speaking practice.

I’d like these to be short, 30-minute conversations focused on one of the topics from the book. We’re currently working on Unit 3D.

I’d also really appreciate it if you could correct my mistakes during the conversation or write down the correct ways of saying things, so that I can pay attention to them and improve.

I’m available on Tuesdays at 1:00 p.m. Kyiv time or Saturdays at 11:00 a.m. Kyiv time.

Could you please let me know the price for a 30-minute lesson and whether you work with Roadmap B2+?

Thank you![Image]

Answer

Hello Alonya,

Relatively few teachers read the posts in the public forums. Teachers mostly wait to be contacted by students who use the filter to find teachers with certain skills or experience.

If you choose a teacher with a TESL/TESOL Master's degree or certificate, you will get a teacher with training in how to teach a language to a non-native speaker.

If you send a scan of your textbook unit to a qualified teacher, they should be able to create a suitable lesson for you.

Finally, your preferred times limit your choice of teachers. Most North American teachers will be sleeping at your preferred times.

Good luck!

Hello Alyona,
I hope you are enjoying your time on iTalky.
If you send me the PDF of your textbook, I would be glad to assist you.

Answer

Hi Alyona! I would be happy to help if you could send me a pdf of your text. I am not sure that I could help at that time on Saturdays, since that is very early in my time zone. I am currently in the US in EST. Check out my calendar and see if any of my available times work for you!
