Hi guys đ,
Could you please help tell me the meaning of these phrases:
1. Go over the hill
2. I saw red
They are from this sentence:
"I knew it would be difficult to rent the apartment again before fall. I could see that rent income going over the hill and believe me, I saw red."
Thank you đ

To "see red" is to get really angry. The speaker seems to be saying that he got angry because he is going to lose some rental income.
"Over the hill" is a common idiom, but not in that context. "Over the hill" normally means someone is old, washed-up, no longer in demand or doesn't have the skills or abilities he used to have.
