Hulpleerkracht🌟 DAY 23/30: The 'SELF' Hindi Challenge 🌟
नमस्ते (Namaste)! 🙏
Welcome to Day 23! When you are traveling, shopping, or just having a chat with friends, you often need to point to things around you. Today, we are learning a quick pair of words that will make pointing things out incredibly easy.
Today’s Words: यह (Yeh) / वह (Voh)
Meaning: This / That
How to use them: * "यह मेरी किताब है।
" (Yeh meri kitaab hai.) = "This is my book." (Close to you)
"वह मेरा घर है।" (Voh mera ghar hai.) = "That is my house." (Far from you)
💡 TEACHER'S TIP: In everyday spoken Hindi, native speakers usually pronounce यह as "Yeh" and वह as "Voh".
These two words are absolute lifesavers when you don't know the specific Hindi name for an object. You can simply point and combine today's words with Day 20's word (Kitna) to ask a price:
"यह कितने का है?" (Yeh kitne ka hai?) = "How much is this?"
📝 YOUR CHALLENGE: Let's practice pointing things out! Look around the room you are in right now. Pick one object near you and try writing a simple sentence using यह (This).
Drop your sentence in the comments below, and I'll drop by to give you some feedback! 👇
