It would actually be takeout. Yes, takeaway can work, you may leave someone confused for a moment, but they would understand you. It would really depend on the country, like the U.S. would say takeout/carryout. There are many different ways to say this, so obviously use what you feel is best. Just thought I would give more options, thus, increasing a learner’s vocabulary. I wish everyone the best!
