The Tim じぁん!!!
It's overcast today. As I got up in the morning, I found my dad making miso soup, which was new. It turned out to taste good. Later, I decided to huddle up in my bed and watch some YouTubers' videos to whom I recently subscribed. During this time, I came across a phrase - “beat around the bush”. I asked my dad about it, and he took it literally, responding, “What do you mean, beat the bush?” He didn't know the correct meaning either. We both learned a new phrase, and I made the most of my extra break.

Probably mostly used in the negative - stop beating around the bush, get to the point. Similar to pussyfoot around, although that’s more about action.
