HELP! CAN SOMEBODY TRANSLATE THIS IN SPANISH? Increased IgG1–IgG4 and decreased IgA1 levels were found in CHC patients . Changes in salivary IgA1 ⁄ IgA2 concentration ratio could result from the preferential stimulation of antibody production by IgA1- or IgA2-synthesizing plasma cells by antigen in the oral cavity . It is also well known that salivary IgA1 can be cleaved by a variety of enzymes from oral microorganisms. Furthermore, IgA subclass ratio may be changed during the active immune response, reflecting the generation of specific antibodies to various antigens of mucosal pathogens, so that decreased salivary IgA1 seen in our CHC patients may indicate the failure of protective effect of IgA1 antibodies in these patients.

HELP. Can someone correct my introduction . Hello my name is Mary from Argentina. I was born and raised in Buenos Aires currently coursing the 5 year of Ontology University, and this is my first time applying for this kind of program ( XXX Program for Students from Countries) I actually didn´t know about it until this year thanks to the XX Central Education whom gave me kindly all the information and details about it. Firstly I want to explain the main reason why I´m applying for this program. As a half American half Argentina girl I ´ve always wanted to learn English because I didn´t want to lose the connection , the bridge with the American culture. Which was kind of hard for me because in my house I could only speak Castellano but the American spirit and soul was there. Literally speaking being part of two culture in my case it was making me to choose just one and letting the other one go. A choice that I didn´t dare and did not want to take I didn´t want to forget who I was. And that´s why started to look for myself the other half of person that I really was, where I belong or where did I came from. First of all my desired to learn the American language led me to look for places where they were teaching it. I want to clarify that Ive already taken the exam for TTAIK I So as I was saying my desired to learn English took me to look not only for American schools also programs that could give me the opportunity to go to EEUU to learn about their life and could experienced in person how is to be born in EEUU since Ive never been there before. A program that can show and teach everything about the American culture. That can also show the life in different universities in EEUU, which I consider are different from Argentina´s Universities, their life style. Im the kind of person who put his mind and heart in what I believed in order to follow my dreams. That´s why I started to make my own research in my university for a program that could give me the opportunity or maybe had a connection with the American student program but unfortunately there was non. But knowing the way I´am I just couldn´t stay still with a no as a answer. Finally I found a program that could fill my expectations. From the bottom of my heart I´m very exciting with this program, which give to the students from different countries an incredibly opportunity that one can not let it miss. I´m looking forward for the opportunity to see and feel the really experience of being part of the American society.

QUESTION CAN somebody tell me if this is correct? Another major discovery was made in Egypt in 1989. Several skeletons of another early whale, Basilosaurus, were found in sediments left by the Tethys Sea and now exposed in the Sahara desert. This whale lived around 40 million years ago, 12 million years after Pakicetus. Many incomplete skeletons were found but they included, for the first time in an archaeocyte, a complete hind leg that features a foot with three tiny toes. Such legs would have been far too small to have supported the 50-foot-long Basilosaurus on land. Basilosaurus was undoubtedly a fully marine whale with possibly nonfunctional, or vestigial, hind legs. The fossil consists of a complete skull of an archaeocyte, an extinct group of ancestors of modern cetaceans. Although limited to a skull, the Pakicetus fossil provides precious details on the origins of cetaceans. The skull is cetacean-like but its jawbones lack the enlarged space that is filled with fat or oil and used for receiving underwater sound in modern whales. Pakicetus probably detected sound through the ear opening as in land mammals. The skull also lacks a blowhole, another cetacean adaptation for diving. Other features, however, show experts that Pakicetus is a transitional form between a group of extinct flesh-eating mammals, the mesonychids, and cetaceans. It has been suggested that Pakicetus fed on fish in shallow water and was not yet adapted for life in the open ocean. It probably bred and gave birth on land. 3. The word precious in the passage is closest in meaning to exact scarce (X)valuable initial 7. The hind leg of Basilosaurus was a significant find because it showed that Basilosaurus lived later than Ambulocetus natans lived at the same time as Pakicetus was able to swim well (X)could not have walked on land 8. It can be inferred that Basilosaurus bred and gave birth in which of the following locations? On land Both on land and at sea In shallow water (X) In a marine environment WHAT IS THE MEANING OF VESTIGIAL?

QUESTION! CAN SOMEBODY TELL ME IF IT IS CORRECT? It should be obvious that cetaceans—whales, porpoises, and dolphins—are mammals. They breathe through lungs, not through gills, and give birth to live young. Their streamlined bodies, the absence of hind legs, and the presence of a fluke1 and blowhole2 cannot disguise their affinities with land-dwelling mammals. However, unlike the cases of sea otters and pinnipeds (seals, sea lions, and walruses, whose limbs are functional both on land and at sea), it is not easy to envision what the first whales looked like. Extinct but already fully marine cetaceans are known from the fossil record. How was the gap between a walking mammal and a swimming whale bridged? Missing until recently were fossils clearly intermediate, or transitional, between land mammals and cetaceans. 1. Fluke: the two parts that constitute the large triangular tail of a whale 2. Blowhole: a hole in the top of the head used for breathing Mark WITH (x) your answer 1. In paragraph 1, what does the author say about the presence of a blowhole in cetaceans? (X) It clearly indicates that cetaceans are mammals. It cannot conceal the fact that cetaceans are mammals. It is the main difference between cetaceans and land-dwelling mammals. It cannot yield clues about the origins of cetaceans. 2. Which of the following can be inferred from paragraph 1 about early sea otters? It is not difficult to imagine what they looked like. (x) There were great numbers of them. They lived in the sea only. They did not leave many fossil remains. CAN SOMEBODY TELL ME IF IT IS CORRECT? Streamlined bodies= cuerpo aerodinamico LAnd dwelling = tierra en el habitan Also i cant undertand this words :1.fluke, 2 pinnipeds

I'M BACK..... I'm not using italki as much as before...because i don't know what should I write about. All I can say is, I'm on vacation!. Yeah, finally! Now I can relax, sleep till noon and watch movies!. Any recommendations? I want to see a scary movie but I can't find any. The last one I saw was Ouija but was terrible, an awful movie. I don't know perhaps my expectations are too high, like jumping from my chair that kind of feeling I'm looking for hahaha. There are not movies like that anymore, so sad...
