¿Cuáles son los pros y contras de una sociedad sin efectivo?
Hoy en día, el pago electrónico es tan popular que podemos pagar con teléfonos móviles, tarjetas bancarias sin contacto o incluso con reconocimiento facial.
Before talking about this topic, I will tell you a thing that happened on me recently. Because of a little business, I got a 100 Yuan cash last week. I put it on the table and told my daughter could keep it as pocket money, but it still lays on the table today. She told me that it's enough having phone to buy anything. Maybe that special paper worth nothing in her mind. In my mind, it's worth enough food for supporting my family over two days. A payment app gives us an illusion that money is just a number since it connected our credit cards. We usually spend more money than we made monthly. It seems that the amount of money on our phone is huge. At first, we were afraid that we couldn't repay our credit cards next month. Later, the apps tood us that we could just repay a little part of the debt, the rest could be repayed later with just a little extra interest. We were excited and thankful for the boss of the apps. Nowdays, we can loan on the apps. How much you can loan depends on how fast you repay you debt. We feel that we have enough money to do everything, but we also feel weird! Am I really a rich person?

Pros: first , it is environmental . We don’t need to print paper currency in cashless society. In other words there’s no need to cut down trees for making cashes. Second, it is convenient. Taking a phone can help us handle all of the payments instead of taking money . Third, it can reduce even eliminate the corruption . Because every transaction record can be recorded and traceable . That’s a great way to resist the bribery. Cons: first, it needs the strong support from the third party like internet and payment systems. So if there’s no single or the payment system collapse then we can’t do anything. Second, our privacy is threatening because it can record our every transaction records. That means our schedule and consumption habits are transparent as a result of the recording of the database

It’s not uncommon to buy products by digital currency in the whole world. And the number of people using Apple Pay or Alipay is dramatically increasing, so digital currency will kill physical wallet soon. Advantages abound, one of which is its convenience. You do not have to have a wallet on you every day. You just pay money by swiping your cellphone, entering your PIN and sending a certain amount of money to the seller. Furthermore, contactless payment system is much safer. On one hand, thefts would never steal your money so easily as they did before. On the other hand, fake money is no longer the case. However, there are two sides to every coin. The biggest problem is that you must have your devices on you everywhere. If you accidentally leave your cellphone at home, you may feel hopeless because you cannot buy anything. Then you will live without the sense of safety that day. Plus, it is not accessible for old people. They are used to cash, and it would be a hassle when they do not know how to use the payment system.
