你认为学习外语会降低你的孩子的民族文化认同感吗？为什么？

Nowadays the trend of learning foreign languages are becoming more common. Most parents encourage their children to learn foreign languages since the early age. Some people,however, believe that learning other countries languages may cause the reduction of children’ cultural identity. What I believe is not only could learning new languages boarden kids horizon, but also help them to understand the difference of way of life.

Yo creo que aprender un nuevo idioma solo enriquece la identidad cultural de alguien, ya que, de esa manera, la persona en cuestión tendrá la oportunidad de recurrir a muchos más elementos a la hora de definir su propia identidad cultural. Además, no podemos prescindir de tomar en cuenta que aprender otra lengua a menudo nos ayuda a comprender más y mejor nuestro entorno cultural de origen, porque el parangón entre lenguas y culturas hace que destaquemos rasgos culturales y lingüísticos y que nos fijemos más en ellos.

No creo eso, añadir algo nuevo la enriquece. Luego, depende del niño en cómo lo usará. No será que la reduzca, será mejor cuestión de que le da más amplia. Una identidad cultural no solo se base por mí en el idioma, sino también en el enfoque psicológico que tiene la persona. No exista una única identidad cultural, es posible tener varias :)

Meiner Meinung nach sehe ich das nur als Hypothese an, denn dank der Sprachenvielfalt werden wir ein intelligentes Kind haben. Außerdem ist es für ein Kind sehr einfach, eine neue Sprache zu beherrschen, weil sein Gehirn noch leer ist. Wir leugnen nicht, dass alles im Leben seine Vor- und Nachteile hat. Was das Sprachenlernen betrifft, gibt es fast keine Nachteile. Außerdem brauchen wir in unserer Gesellschaft eine neue Generation, die in allen Bereichen kreativ ist. Je mehr Sprachen ein Kind lernt, desto bessere Zukunft hat es.

I don't think so. I see the learning of a second language as great skill and how more early that children begin to know foreign language it will be better to them.

Learning a foreign language does not necessarily reduce a child’s cultural identity; in fact, it can actually enhance it. By learning a new language, a child is exposed to different cultural perspectives, which can deepen their understanding and appreciation of their own culture. This process encourages them to reflect on their cultural heritage, which can strengthen their identity.

To a greater extent I believe that learning a foreign language can indeed reduce a kid’s cultural identity because learning a foreign language will logically demand the learner to adapt his/her values and behavior. As kids are learning they will naturally learn to adapt to the culture they’re learning about as well. Kids easily make everything a part of them so when they are constantly being taught a foreign language on a daily basis, it easily becomes a part of them.Remember when learning a different language there is a strong connection between the language and culture and that it is represented in the culture of the speakers so I believe in order to ensure that kids don’t lose their cultural identity, they should also use the education system to help them maintain a balance by educating them on ways they can keep their culture in mind while learning a different one as well. Languages do not change you as a person but what changes you is that you become aware of something different which can modify the way you previously saw things which applies to adults as well.
