I was born and grew up in London with my parents and younger brother. I travelled extensively in my early 20s and lived in Africa for a few years before settling back in the UK and getting married and having my 2 children. I currently live in Portugal in a beautiful area with many beaches and pretty villages. I enjoy walking, reading, swimming, yoga and art.

I have spent most of my working life in education and for 14 years in a large Secondary School. I have gained experience of working with young people with a variety of needs and abilities and helping them to learn. I believe I am a kind, patient, enthusiastic teacher and I am adaptable to the needs of my students. I have been teaching online for the past 5 years.

After getting to know you, finding out why you would like to learn English and establishing what level you are at I will be able to provide tailor made lessons to suit you. My lessons are fun and based on your interests to help motivate you to reach your full potential. I offer plenty of conversation and grammar practice and I am guided by your progress as to how quickly we move on. I give follow up work to complete in your own time if you would like this and I give written feedback on all lessons to help you improve. My teaching style is calm, friendly, patient and good humoured. I will use a variety of teaching materials to make lessons interesting and enjoyable for you.

I have been learning from teacher Lyn for more than two years with more than 100 slots. Two weeks ago, I went to Sweden and Norway for a ten-day journey, and I felt so proud of myself to be able to communicate with the local people without any difficulty. Actually it is more than the language , it is the confidence during the study that matters.I must extend my thanks to Lyn and I will keep on studying with her in the coming new year.
