Hello! I’m Lois, a Yorkshire-based Business English specialist who helps professionals speak confidently and *succeed at work*. Whether it’s delivering great presentations, impressing at interviews, or mastering workplace small talk, I’ll equip you with the language - and the courage - to shine.
With 15+ years in education, business, and NGOs (plus a Cambridge award in Intercultural Communication), I draw upon my varied experience to inform my teaching. Fun fact: I’m also a foodie and art lover, so our lessons might include debates about the world's best art or food!

I have a friendly and natural coaching style and a real interest in helping students develop their full potential. I love to work with students who feel a bit nervous about speaking English and who feel the fear of making mistakes or not being as good as others is holding them back.
My specialist areas are:
* Business English - helping you to develop strong spoken English in the workplace and coaching you to be successful and confident in your career.

My style is friendly and encouraging. Learning a language is fun so I aim for a relaxed but informative style in my classes.
The Business English classes can be more demanding; your reward is to see your skills, confidence and accuracy progress quickly over a short number of sessions and for your career prospects to increase!
At our first lesson we will start by discussing your needs and what you would like to achieve. I will talk to you about what I can do to support your development and we will discuss and agree a way forward together.
