Hoi Hoi! I'm Debby and I'm born and raised in the Netherlands. I live near the border of Germany so my German is also pretty good. I lived a year in Ireland from 2005 till 2006 as an au pair, it was wonderful and also excellent for my English. I've also worked in a Dutch bookstore for more than 12 years and I just love reading. I love meeting new people, travelling, walking, practice yoga, paint and chat around.
I would love to help you learn Dutch! A good way to learn Dutch or any language is by talking, talking, talking and talking. As you make your own sentences you have to think about how to use the words. This way you get a feeling of the language and that's when the pace picks up. I am a flexible tutor. We can talk about the subjects that you find interesting. We can read together online from a website if you want to know more about your favorite hobby for example. Politics, history, the weather ;) (pffff Dutch people) Together you learn more! Please feel free to book a trail lesson so we can get to know each other and to see what I can do for you.
You can have homework or not, we can use books or not, that's all up to you. But the more time you spend on learning, the quicker you will learn Dutch. But that's with everything in live! We can discuss topics, read articles or news online and talk about what you did yesterday (past tense) and what you are going to do in the weekend (future). Small talk is the key! More questions?
