Hi, I'm Miriam!
I'm a passionate language teacher with lots of experience teaching Italian, English, and Spanish.
I love helping people feel confident and excited about learning languages, and I always try to create a fun and supportive environment for my students.
I'm always excited to take on new challenges and have a real passion for learning languages myself. Iāve also achieved the Cambridge C2 in English, and Iām always looking for new ways to grow, both as a learner and as a teacher.
Being multilingual helps me really understand the little nuances of each language and the cultures behind them. I try to bring all of that into my lessons to make them as rich and engaging as possibleIk als leerkracht
Who am I, and what makes me different from other teachers?
I've taught Italian, English, and Spanish at the high school level, and I absolutely love helping students connect with languages in meaningful ways. I have a degree in Modern Languages, plus two Masterās degreesāone in Hispanic Studies and another in Comparative Languages and Literatures.
I also hold a Cambridge C2 Proficiency in English and have led English courses for other teachers, which has given me a great perspective on different teaching styles and strategies. I'm very familiar with exams like the DELE and Cambridge, so I can help students feel confident and well-prepared.Mijn lessen en manier van lesgeven
In my teaching style, YOU take center stage. This class is all about YOUāyour goals, your pace, your interests. Weāll work together to come up with a game plan that covers everything from what you want to achieve, to how you like to learn, to how much homework feels right for you.
I like to keep things well-organized and thoughtful, but not rigid. Iāve got tons of materialābooks, online stuff, PDFsāand every lesson is put together with a clear focus to make sure it fits you. This was a great introductory lesson! Miriam is very prepared and creates the perfect environment to learn. I can't wait to start the learning path that Miriam has designed -- it's full of great resources that I couldn't have found on my own. I have no doubts that my Italian level will increase quickly!
