Mayo

I just had my first lesson with Mayo sensei and really enjoyed it. She was very friendly and engaging. We had a very interesting conversation in Japanese. I've learnt a lot of new vocabulary and interesting facts about contemporary Japanese culture. Thank you so much for your time!

Mayo-san is an excellent teacher! She uses the Genki textbooks to teach an introduction to Japanese. She is incredibly patient and her mastery as a teacher really shines. She is always willing to answer questions and gives cultural context to Japanese phrases and sayings. I also appreciate that she starts off talking slowly then repeats the phrase at a more natural pace. That has helped me with listening comprehension. I would highly recommend Mayo-san as a teacher for people who are just starting out.

Mayo is a great teacher. Every class is well organized, with a lot of practice opportunities and scenarios. Mayo is very supportive and kind, offering her students a lot of patients and opportunities to revise anything that may still be unclear. A great class every time!
