Hi there, my name is Zen. If you want to learn Ancient Greek as a living language, then you are in the right place! I will not only teach you grammar, but also how to read, speak and write the language as a language, not as a puzzle to be solved. Let's bring the ancient languages alive back to the world! I also teach conversational English, Shanghainese and Mandarin. Just get in touch!
歡迎來到我的主頁，我叫Zen，很高興在這裡教大家古希臘語。我一直覺得學語言不僅是學習它的語法技能，而且也是學習其相關的文化。古希臘語現在雖然已經沒有母語者了，但這並不妨礙我們去切身感受它的存在。期待你能和我一起學習這門古老的語言，通過面對面的交流來暢快地閱讀先哲的著作，讓這門語言重新散發出光芒。Ik als leerkracht
I have taught Ancient Greek to both complete beginners and students with some prior knowledge of the language. My teaching is highly tailored to each student’s needs, and I’m always open to discussion and questions. I also have experience helping Chinese students learn languages that are very different from their own, making the learning process smoother and more effective. Mijn lessen en manier van lesgeven
GREEK: we will start with the textbook Athenaze (Italian version), though I’m also open to other options such as Logos, Alexandros, or Thrasymachus. The main goal remains the same: to be able to read the ancient authors as soon as possible. Once we finish the textbook, we will progress to unadapted texts by authors like Xenophon and Plato, and later explore works by the tragedians and the epic poems of Homer.
SHANGHAINESE: we will learn this Chinese language through a natural way of speaking and conversations. I would provide a word document of key phrases and sentences written in Shanghainese and pinyin for our class every time.Mijn lesmateriaal

Zen has been a wonderful teacher, who I can only recommend heartily. During class, Zen primarily speaks in Greek, granting amble opportunity to hear the language used comprehensibly. As we slowly work our way through Athenaze, Zen comes prepared with many questions that have deepened my understanding of the text, and grammatical explanations as necessary (sometimes also given in a Greek).

20年以上前に、中国語を習っていたので
久しぶりの会話でしたが、とても楽しく上海語を習うことが出来ました。
私は終始、普通語で話しましたが、英語でも大丈夫です。
