Truly in a league of her own!!! As a heritage speaker, I’ve had my fair share of tutors, but this time round my family have noticed a big improvement, & feeling capable of your goals is one of the best feelings ever. What sets Nastya apart is that she taps into your thought process. Anyone here could teach you how Russian speakers talk, but very few teach you how to be yourself in Russian. For example, Nastya doesn’t reduce your ideas until they fit ‘standard Russian’, but fully engages with your ideas, to accurately interpret it and check it truly reflects the original thought. Where other tutors take the easy route and mindlessly squeeze the gist into their own words, Nastya doesn’t ignore subtleties or force your words into a ‘one size fits all’ box. On a separate note, organisation is top notch and the handpicked resources ACTUALLY help. She truly cares and I'm super excited to close in on my goals! All of my boxes have been ticked, and more (and I’m as picky as can be :))).

My lesson with Anastasiia was fun and educational. Anastasiia proceeds at an efficient, but not excessive pace, so the lesson is very productive, yet not overwhelming. Although Anastasiia has a high level of English proficiency, I was very pleased that Anastasiia conducted the lesson almost entirely in Russian. She seems to accurately sense of a student's level of comprehension and adjust her delivery accordingly. When I didn't understand, she explained using Russian synonyms and examples, which is super helpful in connecting related words and phrases. I'm grateful that Anastasiia regularly corrects my grammar, pronunciation, and word choice, and she takes great notes, which are very helpful for review. Thank you for teaching, Anastasiia!

She is an outstanding teacher - the lessons fly by and I learn so much.

This lady is the best tutor I've found on this site, no matter the language. This is due to her charisma, empathy, and (obviously) the fact that I can sputter through a whole lesson talking/listening pure Russian. She doesn't use easy translations of vocabulary in English to save time/effort, she'll teach the word by giving example sentences in Russian. She never had to ask 'what do you want to learn? what is your level?' because she deciphered it herself and then pushed me farther than other teachers would. She gives me full attention and interest and laughs at my dumb jokes and gives plenty of homework in a concise Google Doc. Though I have to step away from Russian for a little bit, I will immediately rebook lessons with her. I know that I haven't had a huge amount of lessons with her yet, but I don't write long, cringe reviews for nothing. Usually teachers are never extraordinary, but sometimes you get really lucky :D

Amazing teacher

This was my first lesson and it was amazing! the teacher made me feel very comfortable because I was so nervous. at the end of the lesson I was already reading Russian. I am excited for the next lesson.
