Sheyha Hout

Sheyha is an excellent tutor who caters to the student's specific needs and level. He also has his well-structured and clear materials. Beyond that, he teaches you new words that go beyond the materials. You will accelerate your learning of the Khmer language under him. Having been taught by him consistently for the past 4 months, I have gone from barely being able to speak a word of Khmer to now being basic conversational - which is crazy progress. Highly recommended to anyone wanting to learn Khmer.

As there are very few Khmer teachers on italki, I wasn’t sure I would be able to find someone who I would work well with. However, having my now 5th lesson with Sheyha, I am very impressed by how quickly I am getting better. It’s just like having fun conversation and I always enjoy my lesson.

We reviewed a reading assignment about friendship and worked on pronunciation and also clarifying the differences between similar words

Lessons with Sheyha are very enjoyable as well as very informative. He has a fun personality and does a very good mix of a solid learning environment and fun. Very patient as well and easy to understand. I started as almost a complete beginner and he has taken my understanding of Khmer quite a ways from where I started.

We reviewed homework related to the different words for "to Know" in Khmer. He taught me new vocabulary. We also discussed how to work to improve my listening and speaking skills.

We completed lesson about going shopping and reviewed sentences that I had written.
