My name is Nina and I am a professional Italian teacher for 4 years! I have a Masters degree in Entrepreneurship and Innovation and I run a small pesto sauces company here in Tbilisi. I love to travel and meet new people, this is why during one of my travels I decided to move to Tbilisi, in Georgia to discover more about my roots! I am passionate about literature, philosophy and history as well as food, art and fashion!
I have a little dog called Shu, a tiny Maltese that makes trouble around the house and keeps eating my shoes. Fortunately (for Shu) my students really love him, so he has a teacher assistant job to pay for his troubles!Ik als leerkracht
As I moved to Tbilisi, in Georgia, I started to teach Italian in a local school. I was working both with kids, teaching them the very basics of Italian language, as well as senior students.
With seniors, on an intermediate/advanced level, I like to supply them texts from Italian literature or journal articles that we can discuss and understand together. Nevertheless, I do also have a wide experience teaching beginners and all the necessary materials for grammar.
For me the best way to learn a language is by practicing it without any shame for eventual grammar mistakes. When I teach I always encourage my students to speak as much as they can, with no shame for mistakes! Mijn lessen en manier van lesgeven
I structure my lessons depending on the requirements of my students. When I work with intermediate to advanced students I supply them with some texts (from Italian literature, journals and so on) that we can discuss and argument. This is the best way to learn new terms as well as their synonyms. I try to let my students talk and eventually point out some mistakes that they are able to correct themselves most of the times. I assign some homework too that I review with the student the first 15 minutes of the lesson.Mijn lesmateriaal

Nina always brings friendly and active energy to the classroom! Every lesson, she facilitates discussion in Italian while noting frequent grammar errors. She gives materials and exercises to patch up the grammar mistakes she notices. Also, as I grasp for words to express myself that I do not know, she sends me written vocabulary allowing me to learn new words that I would actually use in day-to-day conversation. I've enjoyed my lessons with Nina, with whom I've mostly started from scratch in Italian, and highly recommend her! Her lessons are attentive to your level, and adjust as you learn more.

I really recommend taking lessons with Nina. I just said to her today that I feel a lot more confident in speaking. I am not so nervous anymore and choose my words with more intention.

I learn a lot in each conversation with Nina! She corrects my grammatical mistakes, introduces vocabulary, and is pleasant to chat with. She also corrects my mistakes in pronunciation, for example my emphasis. Thanks, Nina!

I really love Nina's teaching methods and her mindset to teach Italian which is not to make it boring. She really pays so much attention that the student doesn't get overwhelemed, in this way I feel like I want to attend the classes, I don't feel like I have to but I want it from heart thanks to her. She writes down in the chat whatever we say in real time so after the lecture I can go back and see all the content of the lesson, everything that was said by me and by her. She also sends a lot of exercises about the topic of the day, some of them we do together and some of them are homework. She also always encourages me to speak which makes me think and remember some words I know or learn how to say whatever I wanted to say and it is so good to gain confidence. Overall I really find her lessons fun and so useful.
