Hello! My name is Olga, I’m 44 years old and a professional language teacher with two degrees: Teaching English as a Foreign Language & Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language Russian is my native language, I’m fluent in English at a professional level, and I’m currently learning Italian and Polish on my own. This personal experience helps me understand exactly what challenges my students face when learning a new language. I have been teaching Russian to adults of all levels from complete beginners to advanced. As the mother of a bilingual child, I also love working with kids, inspiring their curiosity and helping them develop a real love for the Russian language.

As a teacher, I prefer to use authentic materials. When teaching grammar, I apply the flipped classroom approach: instead of doing homework after the lesson, the student studies the material beforehand and then practices it as much as possible with me during the class. This proven method leads to faster and more lasting results. I always focus on the student’s interests and select materials that match their individual goals and needs.

My goal is for students to start speaking independently from the very first level. I give them as many opportunities as possible to talk, practice conversational skills, and then I send detailed notes and grammar recommendations after the lesson. In class, we focus on speaking and grammar practice. For homework, students work on listening and writing tasks (which they send me for review), and then we go over them together in the next lesson.
