I'm a French tutor originally from the Paris area, now based in Oaxaca, Mexico.
My work revolves around three main activities:
– Online classes on italki, which I offer one day a week. I enjoy working with motivated learners from around the world and helping them build confidence and fluency over time.
– Conversation groups in Oaxaca, where I help local learners improve their French through in-person sessions.
– French Immersion Oaxaca, a premium one-week immersion I designed for learners who want to explore the culture of Oaxaca while speaking French all day, every day.

My classes are built around one goal: helping you speak French with ease and confidence.
I work with adults and teenagers (A2 and above), and I’ve developed a method that helps learners:
– Strengthen their speaking skills
– Expand their vocabulary in a natural, meaningful way
– Gain confidence in conversation
– Absorb grammar intuitively, through use rather than memorization
My classes are dynamic and highly personalized. I create a space where you feel encouraged to speak as much as possible.
To support your progress, I use communication-based techniques including active listening, conversational strategies, and selected elements from NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming).Teaching experience

Excellent class! Simon is a phenomenal teacher. My girlfriend and I tried out a duo class, and Simon helped us jump into speaking French immediately. Before the lesson, we felt nervous since we took French in high school but hadn't spoken it in over 5 years!
Simon made both of us feel very comfortable taking risks and making mistakes in French. We are looking forward to continuing the lessons with Simon!

Simon has been my tutor for a long time now. He uses Active Listening and uses the words that I say to create new conversations. His goal is for us to have a conversation, but he also gives me corrections and sends them to me after the lesson. He has a very relaxed, easy-going personality that makes his lessons enjoyable.
