Ragini

Great lesson with Ragini! We spent the lesson working on transitive vs. intransitive verbs. In English, we use the same verbs but in Hindi the verbs are different (similar, but different) when they are used transitively vs. intransitively. I asked Ragini to check my pronunciation for both versions, which definitely helped. Ragini said that understanding the difference is very important, and it makes a lot more sense after Ragini explained it!

Great lesson with Ragini! We spent a good deal of time practicing speaking skills, where I was answering Ragini's questions. Although I made errors, Ragini was patient and helpful. The effort is worth it because it is important to develop my speaking ability. We also reviewed the sentences I wrote about "an adventurous time". Ragini is taking the right approach to help me improve!

Great lesson with Ragini! We started with conversation, and Ragini had me re-tell a very short story that I read in the last class. We also did exercises from the textbook about "कोई" and "कुछ". Speaking and telling the story is not easy for me, but Ragini has the right idea to emphasize speaking. I'm sure that it will get easier as we go. I'm glad to be improving my speaking with Ragini!

Ms. Ragini was very encouraging and she spoke at a level that I could understand. I learned a lot from this lesson, and I would highly recommend.

Great lesson with Ragini! I wrote sentences about "an accident", which we reviewed and edited. We also continued learning about the "indefinite pronouns and adjectives". I had several questions, which Ragini explained very well. Ragini also is good about giving me clues when I get stuck, without giving me the whole answer. Ragini really wants to help me improve my speaking!

Great lesson with Ragini! Ragini asked me to write a few sentences about a "bad experience" and a "good experience" in my life. I read them to her and she gave me some good feedback. We also continued the story of Pratap from the "Complete Hindi" book. It was good practice. I'm getting better at quickly correcting my reading mistakes. Ragini is focused on helping me improve, and thinks of different activities to keep her lessons interesting!
