Hello everyone!
My name is Abby, and I have been a community tutor here on iTalki for three wonderful years! I am a lover of all things literature and hold a BA in the subject. I am also currently in the process of earning my teaching certification, so our time together will be a learning experience on both ends!
In my personal life, I love art, movies, and music. Along with that, I also love to read, write, and travel. I am an avid road tripper, so if you are interested in hearing about my experiences traveling in the U.S., I would love to share them with you!

My class offers a variety of ways to further your English abilities while helping build your confidence in the process. I am an easy-going and patient tutor who is passionate about the English language (especially writing). I also love to meet new people and chat. No matter what your goal is, I hope to be able to help you improve your English communication skills, whether they be written or conversational. I also like to have fun with my students: my class is a no-judgment zone. It is my goal to create an environment where students feel free to make mistakes and are not ashamed to be corrected. I truly believe there is no one way to learn English, so our lessons together will be prepared especially for you! I like to think of my lessons as collaborative; if you would like a more structured lesson, I can make that happen, but I would be just as happy to sit and chat with you casually!
I am currently able to meet through iTalki, Zoom, Skype, WeChat, or WhatsApp, and will use a shared Google Doc to track your progress and provide feedback.

It’s my second lesson with Abby, and I had so much fun chatting with her about our favorite TV shows and other things. It’s kind of crazy that we have such a similar taste in everything, but it’s also fun that we can just talk and share our crazy theories about TV shows. She is also really patient when I forget how to say something and helps me feel more comfortable speaking english :)
