I've been working on my Japanese with Hide-san for few months now and will certainly recommend him to others. He is well spoken and easy to understand, provides additional context to why certain things in Japanese are used in specific ways even if it's tangential to current subject, he is patient and does quick re-visits on certain things to make sure they are sticking with you few weeks after they've been covered during the lesson.

Hidé-sensei speaks Japanese for the class which is helpful for developing my listening skills. He explains grammar and the proper pronunciation of words, and explains aspects of Japanese culture and society and how it relates to vocabulary. He is very helpful with answering my questions I have during and outside of lessons..

Hide-San is an incredibly thorough teacher and was able to help me pick up where I left off in Tobira Beginner 1. We started with an aptitude test of sorts, as I had learned a bit previously. After that, we began going through some topics I struggled with in the past, and finally we settled on a plan for the future. You are in good hands with Hide-san よろしくお願いします!

We began with some conversation in Japanese discussing weather and natural disasters. Then we reviewed a writing exercize I was given and discussed the phrasing of sentences and words/ grammar that was used. It was very helpful to get an expanation about why somethings worked and others didn't. It was a pleasant class!

I understand Japanese more now because of Hide-San, the conversations aren't as difficult as before. He is very patient when explaining topics during our lessons and always highlights the important parts I should learn and remember.
