Matthew, in his 40s, was a very slow learner and had trouble reading. However, he reviewed the words he learned every hour. At first, he had a hard time reading sentences, but he reviewed the same sentences in every class, and after 3-4 weeks, he was able to read and speak.

It's difficult to read Korean. - You need to practice reading on your own to improve, but if you find it challenging to practice alone, we can practice together. You will eventually become a better reader if you practice consistently. Kylie, in her 20s, came to Korea for short-term language training but still had trouble reading. She reads slowly, going through each sentence with me, but she's amazed at how the number of sentences she can read on her own is increasing. I feel so shy when participating in the class. - No matter how shy and slow you are at learning, I'll teach you kindly, with the patience. Hye-jin is great at making you feel heard and gets to know you. She doesn't force you to use Korean uncomfortably, although responds anytime you try with kindness. On the chance you do make a mistake, it's easily corrected and went over. Even though I wasn't sure what my level was, we found a good starting place for next lessons in the textbook. Try a lesson with her, goodluck!

My Korean level has dropped a lot since I used to use it more frequently when being in Korea. It’s been a while since I got serious about studying Korean but with Hye-Jin I think I can start again. This first meeting was to do a sort of level test and talk about materials and I feel like she was real supportive and knows which direction to take to help me improve. Thanks, and see you again!
