Γεια σας! Hello! 👋 I’m Andriana! 😀
I'm a philologist - this just means I've studied Greek philology in the University of Athens and I specialize in modern Greek.
There's nothing I enjoy more than meeting new people, coming from different countries, languages and cultures.
Watching films and series is a favorite hobby of mine (by "series" I mean mainly K-dramas, as I'm currently studying Korean😊) I love traveling, but I spend most of my free time reading books 📖
And, of course, I love teaching! I've been a teacher for the last three years and they've been so much fun! 💫Ik als leerkracht
I love to analyze language through literature, history, and linguistics. I also love sharing this knowledge in a dynamic, fun way and I’m always curious about what the students’ passions are. That's why I encourage my students to share their interests so that we can build your learning together! I'd like to help you connect meaningfully with the language you’re learning, because one thing I've learnt while traveling is how languages thrive through curiosity and cultural exchange.

My lessons are always based on interactivity and the method I use is participatory learning. That means my role as a teacher is to guide the student to the generation of new knowledge, through a series of engaging activities adjusted for each level and for each, unique student.
I like to function as a teammate and a friend, guiding the student to construct blocks of knowledge through active engagement with the language.
In conclusion: grammar is important and I love it! But at the same time I like to keep it fun and casual!Mijn lesmateriaal

Andriana is a great teacher if you're looking for some conversation practice in Greek. She has a great grasp on a number of real-life resources available (films, books, TV programmes, etc.) and on present-day Greek culture.

We' ve been having lessons with Andriana for almost a year already, and for me, this period was so inspiring, I am so encouraged to continue my Greek language journey🇬🇷 I found Andriana by accident, but now I understand that that encounter was very important for me. Another great lesson as always! I'm learning a lot with Andriana and very fast - no easy feat given how notoriously tough Greek is, but she knows just how to break things down into simple, easy-to-learn parts that make it easier to remember than to forget!
