Hello!
My name is Taylor and I am from Scotland, United Kingdom. After graduating from the University of Glasgow, where I studied foreign languages and linguistics, I spent a few years living in France and Spain teaching in high schools to develop my teaching skills. Now, I am very lucky to be a full-time teacher here on italki!
My greatest passions are languages, travel, and self-improvement. My travel highlights include kayaking around a Croatian island, visiting a temple on the tallest mountain in Thailand, and couchsurfing on the Cote D'Azur.
I like to stay informed about current events and a wide range of subjects, so don't worry about finding a topic to discuss.

As well as being a native speaker with a neutral accent, I have also studied the grammar and structure of the English language so I am confident that I can answer any question you may have!
I have multiple years of experience as an English tutor in a Scottish university for international students, as an iTalki tutor, as an English teacher in the North of France and most recently, in a high school in Spain.
As your teacher, I hope to motivate you to learn by establishing your goals and creating a plan together for how you will progress. The most important thing is that you have fun and feel comfortable!Mijn lessen en manier van lesgeven
Personally, I believe the best thing about italki is the opportunity to speak to native speakers in the language that you are learning so I will create a comfortable environment for you to practice.
In your first class, we will get to know each other and set some goals.
Before each lesson, I will send you an interesting article or video on the topic we will be covering. In class, we will discuss the material, new vocabulary, and the topic in general. This allows you to practice new vocabulary and expressions while I correct any mistakes you make.

Great teacher and good communicator. She is good at developing a conversation from a simple topic, and kindly asked me a lot of questions for my speaking practice in lessons. After exchanging our opinions, she gave me corrections of my speaking mistakes, which I’d not found out before taking her class. Always having fun speaking with her. Five stars!!
