Yukko

Very grateful as always to have another wonderful lesson with Yukko-san, who is so patient and always willing to help me learn words that I would actually use within my idiolect! It's cool to be able to learn to express myself in a way that feels like building my own version of the language, rather than a straight textbook vocabulary only.

Great lesson as always! It is nice to be back in the groove of things. I was a bit under the weather this week and (once again) debated cancelling, but knew that my day would be better after a lesson with Yukko-san, and I was right!! Thank you so much as always!!

Bless Yukko-san, seriously. She has been so super helpful in making sure I have the means to get through Japan on my trip, not only linguistically, but culturally, as well. She has been super supportive throughout the past few months, and has honestly convinced me to continue learning Japanese after I return just so I can continue to take lessons from her!! Thank you, Yukko-san!!

Honestly, Tuesdays are kind of rough work days because there's always meetings, but I am always excited to come home after work for Japanese lessons! Yukko-san continues to be super kind and patient and teach me applicable vocabulary for the way I express myself, which is wonderful and definitely something that I wouldn't get from trying to self-study, even with a textbook!!

Yay! I'm actually really sad to be back from my trip, but I was so happy to see Yukko-san!! I am very looking forward to continuing our lessons!!

Yay! I'm leaving for Japan in a couple of weeks and am very grateful that Yukko-san was patient as always in explaining small courtesy/cultural things so I don't totally stick my foot in my mouth while traveling. I always look forward to our lessons and appreciate her ongoing patience and dedication to teaching!!
