Kyrylo Perederii

I started learning Turkish from scratch with Kyrylo. Even though I had no knowledge of the language, over 15+ lessons we covered a lot of material. Nevertheless, I don't feel overwhelmed and can navigate through and use the acquired knowledge. This is because Kyrylo explains the material very well, recaps where necessary, makes sure a student is comfortable with what they learn before moving on to the next topic. He is really good at adjusting the pace to the comfort and abilities of the student. He is also accommodating of different schedules and abilities to work outside the class -- during busy weeks when I can't progress in Turkish on my own, Kyrylo adjusts class content based on my current needs. I also appreciate use of different sources of learning materials, incl. videos and songs. I appreciate a lot that Kyrylo also shares a lot of his knowledge about Turkish culture, as he spent a meaningful amount of time there himself, so has a lot of interesting stories to tell!

Kyrylo is very patient, he explains to me very clearly and we do exercises together and through the exercises he helps me very well to understand better. I like his classes a lot and have taken quite some classes with him and will take a lot more!

Kyrylo is great! I could write an entire essay on how great he is. He is caring, trustworthy, diligent, super friendly, very knowledgeable (seriously, the man is a genius), passionate, and eager to share. He makes learning Ukrainian (not always the easiest language for English speakers) easy and fun. I always, always look forward to his lessons. У нього така хороша методика навчання. Це працює!

The Ukrainian language is deep and beautiful. Kyrylo speaks fluent English, Russian, and Turkish, so he can contextualize the language of the Ukrainian steppe and understands Ukrainian’s uniqueness. Part of Ukrainian’s depth is in its uniqueness and ancientness as the heir to medieval Kyiv Rus. Kyrylo is a Masters degree student at the best university in Kyiv studying language and literature. He lives that depth of Ukrainian that exists in its folk traditions, musical lyrics, steppe inheritance, and world-class literature of highest art. But the beauty of language depends on a poetic sensibility, to evoke and articulate the personality of a language as it brings contours to the world. Some people have that poetic gift and some don’t. Kyrylo does.

I began studying Turkish with Kyrylo in the summer, and from the very first lessons I felt completely comfortable and understood. It helps enormously that he can explain everything in English, because living abroad means I constantly mix several languages in my head, and sometimes even simple words vanish. Our lessons are calm, friendly, and full of natural warmth. Kyrylo always explains clearly, patiently, and without any judgment, even if I need to hear the same thing a few times. After some unpleasant experiences with strict teachers in the past, his kindness and calm approach truly make learning feel safe again. We follow a clear plan, but he is always ready to pause and review anything that needs more attention, building a solid foundation step by step. I genuinely enjoy our lessons and can confidently recommend Kyrylo to anyone who wants to learn Turkish in a supportive and stress-free environment where progress feels real and steady.
