Mathilde

Mathilde always makes me feel very comfortable practicing my French speaking. She has the perfect balance of letting me speak and also offering suggestions or giving me corrections. I am so glad I found Mathilde.

Exactly what I needed! I studied French for many years when I was younger, but never developed the ability to comfortably hold a conversation. Now at 50 year old, I really want to try to actually learn to speak French with people, and Mathilde did an excellent job of putting me at ease and helping me to develop the confidence to actually try and converse with someone. I have already booked more lessons!

Mathilde is an amazing instructor. She is passionate about languages. This comes across when she is teaching. She has high expectations and does not allow her students to take the easy way out. But she is also kind and friendly and punctual. Many friends and family have remarked that my French has improved remarkably! I highly recommend her as a teacher.

It is impossible to adequately describe how much Mathilde has helped me improve my French. Before I started using italki and having lessons with Mathilde I could not even talk about the weather, now I can talk about new technologies and the many other changes, including political changes, happening today. My accent and pronunciation are still horrible, but getting better, again thanks to Mathilde's help.

Prior to every lesson I have with Mathilde I am unsure what I will talk about for the whole lesson, yet during every lesson I completely fill all the time talking to Mathilde in French. Mathilde is excellent about giving me lots of time to talk, but also corrects my mistakes in a way that does not distract me or reduce my enthusiasm for speaking French.
