Iām Alyssa, a passionate and dedicated language teacher.
I believe in creating a supportive and dynamic learning environment where my students feel motivated and confident to reach their full potential.
With a solid foundation in Dutch and a focus on making learning both engaging and practical, Iām excited to help you improve your skills and achieve your language goals.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy traveling, photography, and immersing myself in different cultures. I also love spending time with animals. When Iām not teaching, youāll probably find me working with pets or brainstorming ideas for my next adventure. Iām a firm believer in the power of language to connect people.
I hold two degrees in foreign languages and literature from āLa Sorbonneā in Paris, where I studied Dutch and English. My academic background is rich in linguistics, grammar, phonetics, translation, literature, and cultural studies, providing me with a solid foundation in both languages and their respective cultures.
For the past three years, I have been teaching Dutch and English to students of all ages.
My approach is always tailored to the individual needs of each student.
I begin every course with a needs assessment, so I can understand their learning goals and preferences. This helps me design personalized lessons, whether the student needs more structure or a more relaxed style.

Although short, I had a really nice class with Alyssa. She was very patient and reassuring and made questions to know about me and my goals in my Dutch learning journey. She shared about her methods but was also ready to adjust to my learning preferences. Overall a fun class, I recommend her!
