Iām Alyssa, a passionate and dedicated language teacher.
I believe in creating a supportive and dynamic learning environment where my students feel motivated and confident to reach their full potential.
With a solid foundation in Dutch and a focus on making learning both engaging and practical, Iām excited to help you improve your skills and achieve your language goals.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy traveling, photography, and immersing myself in different cultures. I also love spending time with animals. I hold two degrees in foreign languages and literature from āLa Sorbonneā in Paris, where I studied Dutch and English. My academic background is rich in linguistics, grammar, phonetics, translation, literature, and cultural studies, providing me with a solid foundation in both languages and their respective cultures.
For the past three years, I have been teaching Dutch and English to students of all ages.
My approach is always tailored to the individual needs of each student.
I begin every course with a needs assessment, so I can understand their learning goals and preferences. This helps me design personalized lessons, whether the student needs more structure or a more relaxed style.Mijn lessen en manier van lesgeven
I place a strong emphasis on adapting my methodology based on the studentās approach to learning.A key part of my teaching philosophy is making language learning enjoyable and effective.
I believe in learning through real-life situations and topics that interest my students.
I avoid overwhelming them with excessive theory at the beginning and instead focus on learning whatās most relevant in the moment. I also strive to inject fun into every lesson with anecdotes and insights into the culture behind the language, which I believe makes the process much more engaging and memorable.
