Yukie (ゆきえ)

If you are looking to start learning Japanese, or wanting to get better at it, I can highly recommend Yukie Sensei. Individually, she meets you language skill needs, challenges you so you can get better and supports you on the way. Her materials that she provides helped me so much to get better. Not only do I think she is a fantastic teacher, but also her personality is very well suited for her profession. I want to learn more, so I can speak better Japanese. Thank you, Yukie Sensei!

Today was interesting and fun! I had a sake festival coming up soon that I'm going to and I wanted to practice some common phrases/words that would be useful for that kind of situation. Yukie Sensei found a helpful website that had a brunch of phrases that could be used! We practiced reading through them all so tons of kanji/vocab practice there After that sensei had us roleplay being a customer/shop worker situation at revolved around purchasing sake/alcohol at a shop. We switched off both roles, I thought it was really creative! At the end we had some general conversation on current events, really good class and we did all lot!

Yukie-san is eager to help when I don't understand something. She takes her time to explain grammar or vocabulary using examples and exercises. We also have time for a small chat and laugh while learning. Thank you!

I love my lessons with Yukie-san because we have time to work on grammar, do some exercises and have a little chat. I appreciate her sense of humour and benevolence, she makes you feel at ease and it helps a lot in learning Japanese:-)

Super fun class this time, Sensei helped me prepare for an upcoming sake festival I have coming up. She shared a website which was perfect for learning sake related items and we worked through tons of questions together and I got tons of reading and vocab practice in. We also tend to start the class off with a lot of verbal conversation practice which I love. It's great practice for me and I hope to so get to the point where I know enough, so I can ask more questions to sensei and not just talk about myself 😂
