Yukie is an experienced Japanese tutor and explains grammar in a way that is easily understood. She is very patient and takes the time to explain Japanese sentence structure thoroughly. I studied Japanese for almost 2 years with a different tutor but felt like I stopped making progress. Yukie, in 3 lessons, has already explained several concepts that I have been confused about for months. I look forward to more lessons and improving my Japanese!

It was our first class of the year! we had a ton of speaking practice which is something that I mentioned that I would like to work on. We talked a lot about new years traditions, family, and other topics! Yukie Sensei was paying attention to the convo the whole time and and the end of the conversation she gave me feedback on what pieces of grammar could have been better! We reinforced those weak points with exercises! I was tending to use adjectives and verbs with the "no" particle. Class with Yukie Sensei is always fun and informative, definitely would recommend her!
