I am a native British English speaker and live in the UK (England). I retired from the University of Leeds in the summer of 2023, where I worked in Finance, and have been working part-time since then as a tutor of English. I qualified in December 2023 having completed the CELTA programme (Cambridge-accredited). I have been tutoring since then, mostly online. I also teach literacy face-to-face to learners in my neighbourhood. I am joining Italki to teach English. Mijn lessen en manier van lesgeven
I can either chat to people informally or provide a more structured approach to aspects of language, with my background knowledge of language, and familiarity with grammar and other areas. Gerard is a very good teacher. My kid really enjoyed talking to him which is normally not that easy thing to happen. He will make good preparations before class and has a good sense of British humor which made him very easygoing. He has very clear pronunciations and is patient of listening to my daughter.
