American, but now living in Rennes, I love spending time outdoors and discovering the arts. I studied linguistics and educational psychology for many years, and I continue to learn every day. Proud companion to a cat.

Throughout my teaching career, I’ve had the opportunity to work with students from a wide range of cultural, linguistic, and educational backgrounds. This experience has shaped me into a flexible, empathetic, and culturally responsive teacher. I’ve taught in diverse contexts—both in-person and online, in group classes and one-on-one lessons—and have learned how to adapt my strategies to meet learners exactly where they are.
My goal is always to create an inclusive, welcoming learning environment that acknowledges each student’s unique strengths and challenges. I value open communication, celebrate progress of all kinds, and believe strongly in the power of personalized instruction.
Mijn lessen en manier van lesgeven
My lessons are student-focused, interactive, and designed to make learning enjoyable. I prioritize active engagement—whether through conversation, hands-on activities, games, or creative tasks—so students feel involved and excited to participate. I tailor each lesson to individual learning goals, interests, and pace, ensuring that instruction feels relevant and achievable.
I aim to strike a balance between structure and fun, blending clear learning objectives with activities that spark curiosity and keep students motivated. Above all, I want learners to walk away from each lesson feeling confident, supported, and eager to continue their learning journey.
