My name is James and I am originally from London which is where I am also based. I am 41 years old and I just spent 10 years living and working in Berlin, Germany. I made many friends from all over the world during that time with whom I am still in contact with. I assisted them with their English classes and now that I've returned home, I am still interested in doing so for other people. I enjoy meeting people from all over the world and having a good conversation with them about everything and nothing.Ik als leerkracht
While I was in Berlin, I hosted a weekly meetup where all of my friends who were learning English would meet in a coffee shop in the centre of town for a few hours. There, we would talk about various subjects such as the weather, life, politics and travelling. It was an excellent opportunity for all to meet new people and establish new friendships. We all learnt a lot about not only each other but also other people's countries and cultures.Mijn lessen en manier van lesgeven
I basically have 2 teaching methods:
1. For the more advanced user, learning materials are put aside for the more direct approach of just having a conversation about whatever the students wishes to discuss. The kind of freestyle method is the perfect way for them to not only develop their ability to listen but also gives them the confidence to speak English within a fluent setting.
2. For the more basic user, learning materials are provided (either from a book they happen to be using or from myself) which are then covered together. This kind of approach allows me to support my student in the exact moment that they may require assistance with some feature of the English language.Mijn lesmateriaal

English TeacherI currently teach English online to a wide variety of students from all walks of life. They range from A2 to C2 learners. All students are able to book directly with me via my calendar and I teach all day, every day.

Overige - GraduationThis was my secondary (high) school. In the UK, you don't specialise in any 1 particular subject but rather 5-10. I did so in Geography, History, Information Technology and the Sciences.

So far, I’ve completed 14 lessons with James and look forward to at least 100 more. Practicing English with him is effortless and enjoyable. He is open-minded, consistently offers tailored lessons, and provides thoughtful feedback. James is knowledgeable to spark, drive, and contribute to engaging conversations on anything, from playing MTG to debating global politics.

I wholeheartedly recommend James as an outstanding tutor. What makes him stand out is that he doesn’t just “teach” in the traditional sense—he focuses on real conversation. This approach makes every class engaging, relaxed, and genuinely fun for my son.
