I want to make sure you're comfortable and truly enjoy our lessons, because that's at the core of taking on something as extensive as language learning. Drilling grammar works for some, but I prefer teaching it in a more natural way.
As I'm learning Japanese myself, I've discovered the most powerful way to learn is through "comprehensible input" - messages in the target language that you can actually fully understand. Mikael is an absolute sweetheart, and he does a fantastic job at creating a calm, friendly, and judgement-free learning environment. Something that I particularly about him is that he deliberately integrates native expressions/phrases/grammatical nuance in a way that does not seem intimidating in the slightest. I can't wait to keep learning Norwegian with him.

For me, Mikael is the perfect match! Since I enjoy learning through writing, I can write texts that relate to my everyday life. Mikael goes through the texts with me, corrects them where necessary, and shows me how they could sound even more natural, more like a native speaker.
