Shalom! 🙋🏼♂️ I’m Shai, a native Hebrew speaker from Israel 🇮🇱 Now sharing my language and culture from São Paulo, Brazil 🇧🇷 As a full-time Hebrew teacher, I specialize in making learning fun and stress-free whether you’re mastering the alphabet or chatting like a local.
My lessons blend Israeli music, pop culture, and real-life conversations (yes, even slang!). Having learned English at school at a young age and Portuguese as an adult, I understand the struggles and how to overcome them with patience and creativity.

I love teaching and helping my students succeed in learning Hebrew. For me, language learning should be fun and come from the heart.
I learned English as a kid from MTV and the SIMS game, even before I learned it in school, which made it more enjoyable. As I learn Portuguese, I understand the challenges of learning a new language.
My goal as a teacher is to help you overcome challenges and reach your goals with patience and personalized teaching.
I use my love for music and design to make learning fun and creative. My passion for education drives my teaching, and I bring experience from working in informal education.

In my lessons, we’ll explore how to speak, write, and read Hebrew through topics like Israeli culture, music, movies, TV shows, and heritage. We’ll start with the basics, like the alphabet, and progress to speaking like Israelis, including confidently using everyday language. At the end of each lesson, we’ll review what we’ve learned and adjust our plan based on your progress. I also create a private shared folder with each student, where we keep all the materials from every lesson. I've had a fair amount of lessons with Shai now, and he is a really good teacher. He uses a wide range of materials which help in different ways and my speaking has improved so much since I started learning with him. For the first time in years on my last trip to Israel, I actually managed to speak more than very basic Hebrew in places where there did not speak English. I'd fully recommend learning with Shai to anyone considering learning Hebrew

Shai is an absolutely awesome Hebrew teacher. I have personally found that he is able to connect and help enhance my skill level in Hebrew. He's easygoing in his personality and still very much helps me learn more (an excellent combination). I would highly recommend him to others!

Shai is a great teacher! He is organized, patient, and very helpful with reading and pronunciation. I enjoy his communicative approach, speaking Hebrew from the start, but always keeping the student in mind. I have learned a lot in the first few lessons and look forward to continuing with Shai in the future! Highly recommend!
