If you are looking for a truly professional tutor, who is warm and friendly, Valérie is perfect. I amaze myself with being able to speak with her for an entire hour; she knows just what to say and ask and how to correct what needs correcting. I always feel as if I am learning with Valérie; she is simply the best tutor I have ever had.

Valerie is an amazing teacher. She's helped me along from level A0 to B2-ish in just over two years and our sessions are always very productive. I particularly value her feedback on my pronunciation, which is always on point yet delivered in the most tactful and non disruptive manner.

We talk a lot about current political events, and the books we've read. It's mostly conversation practice. I'm really working on my spoken French. Valerie explains to me some of the expressions I may have heard listening to videos as well as some of the unusual vocabulary I run across in my reading. I really enjoy working with her.

Excellente professeure pour le DALF C1 et C2 I have been Valerie’s student for almost 3 years and when we started my spoken French was rudimentary. With her help and excellent teaching skills I received my DALF C1 diploma in June and my DALF C2 diploma earlier this month. I've been working with Valérie for a few months, and she is an excellent teacher. She is wonderfully creative in her conversation topics which help me to focus on having an interesting conversation rather than worrying about whether I am making mistakes. She provides feedback at pauses in the conversation, which make it easy to have a fluid discussion but also have the necessary feedback to improve. I feel comfortable working on my French conversation skills, and I look forward to our lessons each week.
