Kaoru-sensei has the patience of a saint! :) She is incredibly kind, polite, and always has a smile on her face. The atmosphere in her lessons is wonderfully positive and relaxed, which makes learning Japanese a real pleasure. I genuinely look forward to every lesson with her. I'm 100% sure that lessons with Kaoru-sensei are the main reason I'm now comfortable speaking Japanese. Of course, there is a long road ahead, but I'm very positive about this journey. Lessons with Kaoru-sensei have had a uniquely positive impact compared with any other type of instruction I’ve tried. Before meeting Kaoru‑sensei, I experimented with self‑study, group classes, and company‑provided teachers, but it all felt like banging my head against a wall. I didn’t even have the basics needed for a simple conversation, yet I was under the false impression that I was making progress. Kaoru‑sensei spends a lot of time on each lesson, shaping the material to fit my level and goals. She even drops in jokes or topics we’ve talked about before, which makes every class feel fresh and personal. Her genuine care shows in every little tweak she makes, and I know she’s truly invested in my progress. That’s why I stay excited for every session.

So far only 2 lessons in but so far love the structure of the lessons. Combination of grammar, talking, practical examples. Sensei is very supportive and increases my confidence in speaking.
