Such a fun lesson with Ayako filled with lots of different conversations and interesting topics! We talked about the upcoming solar eclipse in Europe, how delicious kombucha is (and how tricky it can be to make at home), and the different work ethics found in various countries and even different parts of the U.S. As always, the conversation was engaging from start to finish, and I came away with lots of helpful notes, useful new vocabulary, and great explanations. The time always flies!

Today we reviewed some recent vocabulary and kanji, did a short reading/grammar exercise and talked movies we recommend. Sensei also provided explanation for -sa and -mi adjective forms with a respective exercise. As usual, totemo tanoshikatta desu!

Today we had a very interesting class with Ayako-san. We discussed briefly a film festival I attended, inclusive three Japanese movies (btw, whoever reads this, please go and watch Ryuusuke Hamaguchi's "Soudain"), practiced grammar forms and read a new text. Because I had a small break, today I felt very "rusty", but Sensei gave me a lot of encouragement. As usual, I sincerely recommend booking classes with Ayako-sensei.

A very enjoyable lesson with Ayako talking about her daughter’s recent move to college, how the idea of living alone is very appealing, and how investing money via apps is a new fad amount the younger generation. It was such a lovely time with really interesting topics, fun exchanges, and lots of helpful notes. Our lessons together are always both enjoyable and helpful!

Another great class with Ayako-sensei. As per my request, we reviewed abbreviated forms for -teshimau in the past and present forms, we had a chance to discuss differences between Japanese and European languages' structures, and, last but not least, reviewed the new kanji and vocabulary for emergencies, cooking and cleaning - still not there yet, but I'm trying my best. It was a fun class and, as usual, I cannot wait for the next lesson!
