Hi, I’m Virginie. I live in the beautiful French region of Alsace. For the past 12 years, I have worked in a translation agency. Language learning is a real passion of mine! After learning German, I ventured further north with Norwegian and Finnish. From my own experience, I understand what learning a language entails: the effort, the patience, and the progress that is sometimes subtle but invaluable. For the past three years, I have been dedicating my time and energy to supporting migrants in France, with patience, kindness and respect, to help them regain confidence in learning a new language whilst building a new life. With my language partners from abroad, I also create a balanced exchange. I help them improve their French, whilst developing my own skills in their languages. I love this ‘win-win’ spirit!! Are you learning French for a specific purpose? Let me guide you with real-life scenarios, appropriate vocabulary, clear pronunciation and kindness! I love bringing learning to life because a language is meant to be lived and spoken! Lessons will begin with a chat about everyday life. We’ll then get stuck into learning French using visual and audio materials, role-plays and so on, all tailored to your goals. We’ll also explore French culture and, for those keen on grammar, we’ll cover the finer points! I’m happy to let mistakes happen, as they’re part of the learning process. So let’s not be afraid to make mistakes. We’ll make progress together!
