Hi there! My name is Karine, and I'm from Maceió, a sunny city in Brazil! I'm a very curious person, passionate about music, books, and animals (I have three cats and a dog that light up my days!).

I hold a degree in English from the Federal University of Alagoas (UFAL). My journey as a teacher began during my university studies, where I taught English to the local community and fellow students as part of a university-led project.
I later transitioned to online teaching for language institutes. After graduating, I continued working at language schools and as a private tutor, which has solidified my specialty in guiding beginner-level students. Karine is a very calm, positive, caring and a creative teacher to study Portuguese with. In my first class she taught me different kind of phrases that I can use to talk to people in Portuguese during my travels. She also encouraged me to speak the language so that I can learn new words and improve my speaking skills. It was a nice class to understand and connect with the Portuguese language.
