Ik als leerkracht
I’m always working to improve the quality of my lessons.
For beginner students, I provide clear and gentle explanations. I don’t just stick to textbook expressions—I also help you learn natural Japanese that’s actually used in daily life. I offer dictation practice using vocabulary from Genki, so you can improve both your listening and writing skills in a balanced way.
For intermediate and advanced learners, I prepare vocabulary and expression lists and create questions that naturally bring out those words. Even if you’ve talked about a topic before, you’ll have the chance to learn new phrases and expand your range of expression.
Mijn lessen en manier van lesgeven
For beginners;
I use Genki (げんき) . I’ll teach you gently and at a comfortable pace! Join my lessons to learn practical Japanese expressions and start speaking with confidence.
For intermediate or advanced students:
If you often find yourself talking about the same topics—like hobbies or favorite things—during free conversation, I encourage you to try my lessons. Rather than focusing on difficult topics like politics or economics, I teach practical Japanese that you can use in everyday life.
For example, have you heard the Japanese words asagata (朝型) and yorugata (夜型)? If that was new to you, I’d love to have you in my lesson!
I speak Japanese at a natural speed.
English is available.

Makiさん is really crushing it with these lessons. I can tell that she puts in a bunch of prep prior to the lesson. This results in us in speaking about a central theme which introduce a whole bunch of new, practical and useful vocabulary. Additionally, the lessons are fun since she continues to ask interesting questions that allows me to tell her about my experiences.

Makiさん is really great at keeping the conversation lively and thought provoking. She somehow worked in a whole bunch of related and relevant questions to our initial topic. The questions were intriguing and were just a joy to think and talk through. I really appreciate the useful words she teaches me as a result of these questions. These are words I likely wouldn’t have come across if not for the topics we discussed.
