6 Hebreeuws lessen
Another lesson with Neta completed. My Hebrew has seen good improvement also just from immersing more. Now that I am at a bit higher level, I have some new observations about lessons with Neta.
I think her main strength is as a conversation partner, probably most effectively for an intermediate or advanced learner. She will correct all your mistakes which is useful if this is something you are looking for (I am at least) and will give register indications. I do not think she is as effective for being taught grammar points (but being a native speaker conscious of language she can naturally point out usage of certain features just fine, e.g. the imperative/future mix-up in Modern Israeli Hebrew). For that I would probably look for a professional teacher as a beginner in any case. If you are looking for someone to practise dialogue with, however, then I would say Neta is a good fit. The register differences are something very useful that you don't always see with teachers.
