I am a native French speaker. I was born and raised right outside of Paris. I have always loved learning about different languages and cultures. This is why I decided to learn English and move to the United-States to go to college where I learned to teach my native language to people who, just like me, want to learn a new language.Ik als leerkracht
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Science of Education with a focus on French. During my years in college, I had many opportunities to teach in classrooms. I like teaching groups of students because it allows for different types of interactions. But I also gave one-on-one lessons which are more specific and tailored to the students' needs.Mijn lessen en manier van lesgeven
I like teaching with real world material. Depending on my students, I can use news articles, books, videos, and music. I also like to give them the opportunity to practice their knowledge with conversations or short discussions, since the final goal of learning a language is communication. But I am a flexible teacher. I can adapt to my students' needs and preferences. Therefore, I can also give direct lessons on specific language features and help the students test their knowledge with exercises and quizzes.Mijn lesmateriaal

I have taken two classes with Cécilia so far, and both of them have been quite enjoyable. She speaks patiently and encouragingly about a wide range of topics. Class time passes very quickly. I plan to take more classes with her and would recommend her as a teacher.

Cecilia is a brilliant teacher. During a lesson she asked me many questions and kept me interested in the lesson. She was also very kind and patient while I was struggling to respond. She is fluent in English so when I don't know a French word, she wrote it in the chat. Looking forward to taking another lesson.
